Description:

Rate of Pay: 25k-35k
Shift: Variable Shifts; Weekends, holidays and special events are required based on business needs.

SUMMARY
Oversee, teach and direct employees in retail area. Make sure area is a clean and organized work environment.


Duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Responsible for hiring, scheduling, and training all employees.
Responsible for yearly reviews, providing employees with positive and constructive feedback.
Responsible for accurate reporting of timekeeping records to accounting. Accurately report bi-monthly commissions to accounting.
Responsible for store presentation, floor design and cleanliness.
Responsible fore reviewing monthly P&L with Director of Retail.
Responsible for quarterly inventory with Director of Retail and Inventory Supervisor.
Assist Director of Retail with re-orders of store merchandise and supplies. Travel to trade shows as necessary. Responsible for stocking store, making sure that products are on the floor in a timely manner.
Responsible for proper handling of all paperwork.
Assist with returning damaged merchandise to the vendor for proper credit or replacement.
Attend to guest needs and complaints.
Possess exceptional knowledge of products in the General Store.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages two subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 10+ employees in the Inventory Supervisor and General Store Assistant Manager. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises 10+ non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Complete all applicable paperwork for the above responsibilities and submit to HR in a timely manner.

ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
Support and participate in environmental programs associated with position: minimizing waste, recycling, energy conservation, purchase and use of sustainable products, education on environmental ethic, support vendors with similar ethic, decrease pollution levels, minimize the use of toxic chemicals, restore wild life habitats.

DRESS CODE
Sundance recognizes the impact that our image has on the guest’s impression of the resort and the perception of our ability to provide professional service to our clientele. In order to best promote a positive, professional image that meets Sundance guest’s expectations, employees are required to dress in a professional, conservative fashion that is appropriate for their area. Please use the following as a minimum standard:

All aspects of the Personal Appearance policy (SPL#50) must be in compliance.
Operational managers are required to wear nametags at all times while on duty.
Clothing must be unwrinkled and clean, and in good condition (no rips, tears, or frays regardless of whether accidental or fashionably placed).
Blue jeans are permitted.
Men’s shirts must be tucked in.
Appropriate skirt length is from the knee to the ankle.
A tailored fit is required of all clothing.
Tank tops, halter tops tube tops, and spaghetti straps are prohibited.
Sleeveless shirts are permitted for females.
Bare midriffs are prohibited.
Proper footwear for your department is required.
Dress sandals are permitted for females.
Flip flops are prohibited in all areas.
Tennis shoes are prohibited unless there is a business need (ie: Mtn. Ops.)
If your department allows t-shirts, they must be in good condition and have appropriate Sundance logos.
If your department allows baseball caps, they must be in good condition and have appropriate Sundance logos.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

TECHNICAL/COMPUTER SKILLS
Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, database maintenance, internet navigation and electronic mail. Micros or POS experience helpful.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
