SUMMARY
Handles all aspects of the recruiting process to assist managers in building an exceptional team of Sundance representatives.


Duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Administer recruitment and hiring process for Sundance employees including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and recommendation of candidates.
Cultivate relationships with local universities, colleges, and trade schools to develop recruiting networks.
Assist the Director of Human Resources in developing internships for some departments as it meets Sundance’s business needs.
Target students in hospitality management, recreation management, accounting, marketing, HR, IT, culinary arts, massage therapy and estheticians.
Responsible for developing procedures, practices, and systems to enable Sundance to hire “The Best”.
Develop, place, and update ads in all publications (newspaper ads, Internet, school career centers, Workforce Services).
Conduct wage surveys within Labor Market to determine competitive wage rates.
Conduct interviews and ensure new hire paperwork is completed properly and accurately.
Responsible for bi-monthly requisition report.
Maintain online application system.
Develop communication system and administer to ensure applicants know we appreciate their interest in Sundance.
Responsible for interview tracking and reporting.
Update and maintain job descriptions and job postings.
Assist managers in developing effective interview questions and practices.
Cross train and perform all Receptionist duties in the absence of these positions. Please refer to job descriptions.
Assist HR Director in development, implementation, and administration of Sundance training programs.
Assist Director with HR procedures, policies, and administration.
Cross train with HR Director in Benefits and Management recruitment.
Assist HR Director with grievance, complaints, employee relations, and investigations as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Support and participate in environmental programs associated with position: minimizing waste, recycling, energy conservation, purchase and use of sustainable products, education on environmental ethic, support vendors with similar ethic, decrease pollution levels, minimize the use of toxic chemicals, restore wild life habitats.

DRESS CODE
Sundance recognizes the impact that our image has on the guest’s impression of the resort and the perception of our ability to provide professional service to our clientele. In order to best promote a positive, professional image that meets Sundance guest’s expectations, employees are required to dress in a professional, conservative fashion that is appropriate for their area. Please use the following as a minimum standard:

All aspects of the Personal Appearance policy (SPL#50) must be in compliance.
Employees are required to wear nametags at all times while on duty.
Clothing must be unwrinkled and clean, and in good condition (no rips, tears, or frays regardless of whether accidental or fashionably placed).
Blue jeans are permitted.
Men’s shirts must be tucked in.
Appropriate skirt length is from the knee to the ankle.
A tailored fit is required of all clothing.
Tank tops, halter tops tube tops, and spaghetti straps are prohibited.
Sleeveless shirts are permitted for females.
Bare midriffs are prohibited.
Proper footwear for your department is required.
Dress sandals are permitted for females.
Flip flops are prohibited in all areas.
Tennis shoes are prohibited unless there is a business need (ie: Canyon Clean up, Guided Hike)
T-shirts must be in good condition and posses appropriate Sundance logos.
Hats are not permitted indoors.

Human Resources employees are often required to work Sundance sponsored employee events. Employees are expected to dress appropriately for the event while maintaining a modest, conservative appearance.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. HR experience is preferred.

TECHNICAL/COMPUTER SKILLS
Must type a minimum of 30-40 words per minute.
Proficient in creation and usage of Power Point.
Must be proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet navigation, and electronic mail. Must be proficient in MS Word and Excel. Proficiency in MS Publisher, Groupwise, Adobe Acrobat, Descriptions Now!, ADP, TimeSaver, Corel WordPerfect and QuattroPro preferred but not required Must be highly proficient in data entry.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Bilingual in English and Spanish is helpful. Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to write and communicate complex concepts. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and large group situations.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to apply common sense and HR law concepts in involved written or oral situations. Ability to deal with varying problems and personalities.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Employee works in a fast pace multiple task oriented office with several other employees. Must work well in an environment with continuous flows of clients entering and leaving the office. Employee works with Xerox machines, typewriters, and printers which can be distracting.
