Description:

This position is located in Park City, Utah.

Shift:

Variable lunch and dinner shifts Monday through Sunday.
Weekends, holidays and special events required.

SUMMARY
Greeting and interacting with guests as part of a service team to create a memorable experience for the guest by exhibiting remarkable personal skills and providing exceptional service in a casual and professional environment.

Duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Ensures that the restaurant is clean and organized at all times.
To set-up, confirm and organize restaurant reservations.
Completes cleaning and closing responsibilities as directed by management.
To assist in monitoring that proper sequence of service is completed for all guests.
Assists in the setting of the dining room, clearing and resetting tables, serving food, alcohol and refilling water glasses if warranted.
Exhibits job and product knowledge sufficient to provide guests with accurate information in all aspects of food, service, and resort information.
Exhibits self confidence to the degree necessary to handle a variety of situations in a positive and professional manner.
Exhibits a positive attitude when speaking about guests, fellow employees and management.

ALL SUNDANCE REPRESENTATIVES ARE EXPECTED TO:
Embrace and promote all facets of the Sundance Guiding Principles: vision, mission, service guidelines, and values.
Exhibit job and product knowledge to accurately support and promote all Sundance departments, amenities and programming ventures.

Possess the necessary social skills to work with a broad based constituency and provide excellent service to all internal and external guests.
Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None.

ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
Support and participate in environmental programs associated with position: minimizing waste, recycling, energy conservation, purchase and use of sustainable products, education on environmental ethic, support vendors with similar ethic, decrease pollution levels, minimize the use of toxic chemicals, restore wild life habitats.

DRESS CODE
Sundance recognizes the impact that our image has on the guest’s impression of the resort and the perception of our ability to provide professional service to our clientele. In order to best promote a positive, professional image that meets Sundance guest’s expectations, employees are required to dress in a professional, conservative fashion that is appropriate for their area. Please use the following as a minimum standard:

Hosts are required to wear nametags at all times while on duty, as well as have a current alcohol certification card.
Clothing must be unwrinkled and clean, and in good condition.
Blue jeans are permitted but must not have frays, rips or holes.
Men’s shirts must be tucked in.
Appropriate skirt length is from the knee to the ankle.
Tank tops, halter tops tube tops, and spaghetti straps are prohibited.
Sleeveless shirts are permitted for females.
Bare midriffs are prohibited.
Proper, non-slip footwear for your department is required and comfortable shoes are highly recommended.
Flip flops are prohibited.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must exhibit exceptional guest service skills.
Must have considerable schedule flexibility.
Must exhibit high personal cleanliness standards.
Two years food service experience in a full service restaurant preferred.
Knowledge and experience in serving wine, liquors, and beer preferred.

TECHNICAL/COMPUTER SKILLS
Computer efficiency in Windows, Word, Word Perfect, Excel, Micros and other related programs.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current Food Handler’s Permit.
Current Alcohol Permit.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
