Shifts from 6:00 AM-3:30 PM and 3:00 PM-11:30 PM Daily

SUMMARY
Supervises and oversees all bell staff. Coordinates bell staff with Front Desk, Concierge, and other departments. Assists in hiring of bell staff. Oversees training of bell staff and assists in monitoring performance. Coordinates scheduling of staff in a manner that utilizes staff efficiently and meets customer service guidelines. Responsible for the overall quality of service provided by all bell staff.
| Duties: | ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assigns duties to bell staff.
Creates and maintains bell staff schedule.
Creates, maintains, and implements bell staff training materials.
Performs all bell staff duties and fills shifts as needed.
Orders and distributes newspapers, ensuring that an adequate number will arrive, and addressing any late or missed deliveries.
Orders and maintains uniforms, ensuring that all employees have a sufficient number that are in good repair.
Coordinates all group room deliveries.
Is present for all large arrival and departure days.
Attends Pre-Cons and other meetings as needed
Conducts regular staff meetings.
Greets arriving and departing guests at guest reception, assists with baggage and information.
Guide/escort guests to lodging rooms, assists with baggage, provides resort information and answers guests questions.
Oversees the maintenance of vehicle cleanliness.
Must have exceptional Sundance knowledge and ability to effectively communicate to staff and guests.
Must possess exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
Must be able to multi-task and effectively work in a fast pace or leisure working environment.
Must have a valid drivers license in good standing.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises 5-10 bell staff employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Complete all applicable paperwork for the above responsibilities and submit to HR in a timely manner.
ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
Support and participate in environmental programs associated with position: minimizing waste, recycling, energy conservation, purchase and use of sustainable products, education on environmental ethic, support vendors with similar ethic, decrease pollution levels, minimize the use of toxic chemicals, restore wild life habitats.
DRESS CODE
Sundance recognizes the impact that our image has on the guest’s impression of the resort and the perception of our ability to provide professional service to our clientele. In order to best promote a positive, professional image that meets Sundance guest’s expectations, employees are required to dress in a professional, conservative fashion that is appropriate for their area. Please use the following as a minimum standard:
All aspects of the Personal Appearance policy (SPL#50) must be in compliance.
Bell Staff are required to wear nametags at all times while on duty.
The Bell Staff uniform consists of:
Sundance- issued shirt
Name tag
Sundance issued winter coat or vest.
Belt
Khaki or black pants, shorts or skirt (preferred).
Other colors may be worn but MUST be approved IN ADVANCE by manger.
Clothing must be unwrinkled and clean, and in good condition (no rips, tears, or frays regardless of whether accidental or fashionably placed).
Blue jeans are NOT permitted.
Men’s shirts must be tucked in – no exceptions.
Appropriate skirt/shorts length is from the knee to the ankle.
A tailored fit is required of all clothing. Clothes that are too baggy or tight are not permitted.
Outer layers such as hoodies, jackets or sweaters are not permitted while on duty at the front desk.
If an additional layer of clothing is needed for warmth while on duty, it must either be Sundance issued or it must be warn underneath the uniform and not visible (except in the collar area)
Hats may be warn, but must be PRE-APPROVED by manager and only allowed in the wintertime.
Bare midriffs are prohibited.
Proper footwear for your department is required.
Flip flops and sport sandals (tevas/chacos,etc) are prohibited in all areas.
Tennis shoes are permitted, but must be in good repair and not too flashy.

| Qualifications: | QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. One year supervisory and/or Sundance experience
TECHNICAL/COMPUTER SKILLS
Good working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets. SMS knowledge helpful. Proficient in internet navigation and electronic mail. Operate radio for communication with staff.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid U.S. Drivers’ License in good standing as determined by Sundance’s Insurance Company guidelines.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
The incumbent must posses the ability to speak and read English fluently. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
