Full-Time, Year Round Position
Weekends, holidays and special events are required based on business needs.
SUMMARY
Assist Manager in making sure all events are ready to go, keeping staff on task and in correct uniform, checking with coordinators and kitchen to assure satisfaction and perfection. Maintaining and organizing all rentals and special order items, Maintaining cleanliness of kitchens. Keep servers current on food handlers permits and SMART card certifications. Double checking timing and making adjustments as deemed necessary. Overseeing 2-3 events at a time, Opening and closing duties. .
| Duties: | ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Oversee and responsible for banquet function and employees to ensure that our guests receive great service in the absence of Banquet Manager.
Executes tasks and duties assigned by guest and/or Manager.
Set rooms according to Banquet Event Order’s and make sure buildings are stocked and clean.
Working knowledge of bartending and setting a bar. Know all state laws regarding alcohol and service.
Sets buffets and assists in maintaining buffet and service throughout event.
Observes guests, responding to any additional requests and clear upon completion of meal.
Ladles soup, portions pies and desserts, brews coffee and ice tea, serves drinks, and performs other services as determined by establishments size and practices.
Clears and resets tables and buffets.
Cleans kitchen areas sweeping, mopping, washing serving items, cleaning coffee machines, urns and fridges.
Assist Houseman in room set up and breakdowns in relation to guest contract.
Stocking inventory in service areas-teas, coffees, sodas, sugar, linens, paper products and any other relating services.
Assist Houseman in cleanliness on Sundance vehicles and follows Sundance Safety vehicle guidelines.
Calculates bills accurately in accordance with Sundance accounting procedures.
Keeps a timeline for servers and captains to follow.
Work under the direction of the Manager to ensure buildings are in proper working conditions.
Upkeep and proper storage of Banquet equipment.
Quarterly inventory of Banquet equipment.
The incumbent must embrace and promote all facets of the Sundance Guiding Principles: vision, mission, service guidelines, and values.
The incumbent must exhibit job and product knowledge to accurately support and promote all Sundance departments, amenities and programming ventures.
The incumbent must strategically balance customer, business, and employee needs.

The incumbent must possess the necessary social skills to work with a broad based constituency and provide excellent service to all internal and external guests.

The incumbent must keep information confidential as directed in the confidentiality agreement and furthermore support and comply with all Sundance policies, procedures, and standards.
The incumbent is responsible for protecting Sundance assets.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise a team of up to 25 employees in setting up and breaking down rooms, and areas on property.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; ordering and upkeep of banquet materials and supplies;
ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
Support and participate in environmental programs associated with position: minimizing waste, recycling, energy conservation, purchase and use of sustainable products, education on environmental ethic, support vendors with similar ethic, decrease pollution levels, minimize the use of toxic chemicals, restore wild life habitats.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or 2-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
TECHNICAL/COMPUTER SKILLS
Helpful to have a basic understanding of technical equipment, but not necessary.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid U.S. Drivers’ License in good standing as determined by Sundance’s Insurance Company guidelines.
Must possess a current food handlers permit.
Must Possess a current Alcohol Training Certification (TIPS or S.M.A.R.T. Card)
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
