SUMMARY
Greeting and interacting with guests as part of a service team to create a memorable experience for the guest by exhibiting remarkable personal skills and providing exceptional service in a casual and professional environment.
Primary duty is to assist and support the captain and front server, ensuring that the captain remains on the floor at all times.
| Duties: | ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Warmly greets each Tree Room guest.
Possesses exceptional guest service skills to create a positive Sundance Experience for each guest.
Performs assigned opening and closing sidework.
Assists in the service and clearing of food courses as directed by captain.
Responsible for water and bread service.
Responsible for setting the dining room and clearing and resetting of tables.
Responsible for stocking service stations and bussing trays.
Exhibits job and product knowledge sufficient to provide guest with accurate information in all aspects of food, service and resort information.
Exhibits self confidence to the degree necessary to handle a variety of situations in a positive and professional manner.
Completes cleaning and closing responsibilities as directed by captains and management.
Ensures proper sequence of service for all guests.
Exhibits a positive attitude when speaking about guests, fellow employees and management.
Knowledge and compliance of Utah Liquor laws required.

DRESS CODE
Sundance recognizes the impact that our image has on the guest’s impression of the resort and the perception of our ability to provide professional service to our clientele. In order to best promote a positive, professional image that meets Sundance guest’s expectations, employees are required to dress in a professional, conservative fashion that is appropriate for their area. Please use the following as a minimum standard:
All aspects of the Personal Appearance policy (SPL#50) must be in compliance.
Staff is required to wear nametags at all times while on duty.
Clothing must be unwrinkled and clean, and in good condition (no rips, tears, or frays regardless of whether accidental or fashionably placed).
Blue jeans are permitted if no standard uniform is required.
Men’s shirts must be tucked in.
Appropriate skirt length is from the knee to the ankle- if no standard uniform is required.
A tailored fit is required of all clothing
Tank tops, halter tops, tube tops, and spaghetti straps are prohibited.
Sleeveless shirts are not permitted for females.
Bare midriffs are prohibited.
Proper footwear for your department is required.
Dress sandals are permitted for females.
Flip flops are prohibited in all areas.
Tennis shoes are prohibited unless there is a business need (ie: Mtn Ops)
No large jewelry.
Hair must be clean and combed. Long hair must be worn off the face
Clean shaven or trimmed beard for men, no stubble
Pants/shirts must be free of stains, frays or holes
Pants/shirts must be clean and pressed
Employees must be showered with clean teeth, fresh breath, clean hands and nails
Tree Room server standard uniform is… khaki pants, black small buckled belt, black dress shoes, black socks, Tree Room shirt, white under shirt, and black apron.
Failure to comply with the dress code policy or enforce dress code and personal appearance policies with their staff, may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.

| Qualifications: | QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
No prior food service experience necessary.
Must have considerable schedule flexibility.
Must have high personal cleanliness standards.
EXPERIENCE DESIRED
Some prior food service experience in a full service restaurant.
Experienced in service of wine, liquors and beer.
Prior experience with Micros, Aloha, or equivalent P.O.S. system.
TECHNICAL/COMPUTER SKILLS
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have or obtain a current food handlers permit within 30 days of employment.
Must have or obtain a current alcohol service permit within 30 days of employment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
